IBJJF Rules - Competition Uniform
1. General Requirements
- The Gee It must be made of cotton or similar material, durable and in good condition.
- Allowed colors: white, blue or black. All elements of the Gi must have the same color.
- Patches and decorations are only allowed in the areas indicated by the IBJJF rules.

2. Specifications of the Gi
Kimono (jacket)
- The collar must have a maximum thickness of 1.3 cm and a minimum width of 5 cm.
- The jacket must cover the torso and reach at least up to the thighs.
- The sleeves must allow a space of at least 7 cm between the fabric and the arm.

Trousers
- They must be made of cotton or ripstop, without pockets.
- The length must reach at least up to the ankle.
- The width must allow a minimum space of 7 cm between the fabric and the leg.
3. Belts
- They must be thick enough to remain knotted during combat.
- They must wrap their waist twice and have at least 20-30 cm of free ends.
4. Uniformity and Cleanliness
- The GI must be clean, no tears or damage.
- It must not have Bad smells, stains or alterations in the fabric.
5. Inspection and Disqualification
- Athletes must pass the GI check before the fight.
- If the GI does not respect the rules, the athlete must change it or risk the disqualification.
